Resources for media studies teachers and students

When learning about newspapers and media organisations, it is often useful to go straight to the source. Here we provide links and resources from The Guardian and The Observer to support both media studies teachers and students.

About the Guardian and Observer

The Guardian was founded in 1821 as The Manchester Guardian. The Observer was first published in 1791. The Guardian publishes Monday-Saturday with the Observer publishing on Sundays. They are both owned by The Scott Trust, with a unique ownership structure that ensures editorial interests remain free of commercial pressures.
