Our community news programme aims to develop critical thinking skills for secondary aged students, to recognise and build resilience against mis and disinformation. Students will also have the opportunity to create their own news stories about their local communities. Our workshops are planned and delivered by qualified secondary school teachers. Workshops are differentiated, where necessary and possible, to cater for students from Key Stages 3 - 5 and SEN students.
The project is free for qualifying schools in: London (Islington, Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham and Barking and Dagenham), Greater Manchester, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford.
